Hydrocore is a map featured in Bleeding Edge. It was the first post-launch map added to the game on May 20, 2020. It takes places in "a hazardous hydro-powered generator" and is designed to encourage more intense combat encounters.
Notable features and environmental hazards include:
- A more compact, almost bowl-like design compared to other maps - developers openly referred to it as the "first compact map"
- A central waterway at ground level that cuts horizontally across the center of the map between objectives A and C at the ends, along which objective B slowly floats back and forth (similar to the floating objectives in Aqueducts)
- Two elevated walkways that pass above the water channel, one of which has tunnels that connect down to the waterway
- Two trigger-activated flame walls, one underneath each walkway activated by a button atop said respective walkway, active for several seconds before placed on a cooldown, similar in behavior to the fire traps in Skygarden but with the damage output of the electric barriers in Aqueducts
Power-ups include:
- Damage boost (x3)
